6th class enjoyed a water safety workshop based on the PAWS programme recently. Andrew Hayden from Water Safety Ireland facilitated the informative and practical session. The students learned about water safety at home, near rivers, on farms and at sea. They also practiced the star shape for floating when in difficulty in water, the reach and rescue technique and the correct way to throw a ringbuoy. We would like to thank Andrew for visiting our school and teaching us about these life saving skills.
