Science Week fun in 6A
6A enjoyed taking part in a wide range of experiments as part of Science week. The highlight was producing giant bubbles. There was major excitement in the classroom as the bubbles made many shapes and patterns. They explored the theories of air resistance and surface tension in water. Through investigation, they concluded that larger winged blades have a greater surface and therefore fall more slowly due to increased air resistance. They also discovered why some insects can walk on water having explored surface tension.
Tower building using playing cards proved to be a challenging but engaging STEM activity and they finished the week by designing obstacle courses for their Bee-Bots. It was a wonderful week of active participation and hands-on learning for everyone..
