6th class were delighted when Edel visited us recently and spoke to us about the DAISY (Disability Awareness in Schools and Youth) programme. She brought her assistance dog Nala too. The children learned about the importance of making places and transport more accessible for people with a disability when planning in the future. They also learned about the differences between visible and invisible disabilities. Ms Carroll’s and Ms Seery’s classes were delighted to meet Edel and Nala too.
