There was huge excitement around the school on November 3rd as we awaited the visit of the Liam McCarthy cup to our school. A guard of honour was in place for our guests. The children were entertained by our talented trad musicians. Brendan Cummins and Gary O’ Connor spoke to the children and told them the importance of commitment, hard work and having a belief that you can play for your county. Children from different classes asked questions. We also got to see the U20 All Ireland and Munster final cups. Finally everyone in the hall sang out their hearts for the final two songs Slievenamon and When I Play for the County. Up Tipp!
