Our fantastic 2nd class children made their First Holy Communion on Saturday 2nd May and truly could not have made us prouder. Each and every one of them shone so brightly on their special day, a reflection of all the hard work and care they put into their preparations.It was lovely to see so many family members and friends gathered together to celebrate such an important milestone in their lives.
A sincere thank you goes to Fr. Taddeo for the beautiful service, made even more special as it marked his very first Holy Communion celebration, and to Fr Cullen for his support. We are deeply grateful to Michelle and Aileen in the office for their dedication in organising the practices, booklets and for their continued support - nothing is ever too much trouble ! Thank you to the Parents’ Council and First Class parents for the wonderful refreshments in the hall afterwards- a big hit by all ! Thank you also to Martin for preparing the hall and ensuring all the beautiful artwork was brought to the church—always on call when we need him. A special word of thanks to Michael the Sacristan and Sharon in the office, who are always so accommodating and helpful.
The ceremony was made even more memorable by the stunning choir led by Mrs Grogan; the time and effort put into rehearsals was clear to see. The children from 3rd to 6th class were exceptional, and we are so thankful to Mrs Grogan, George Barry ( for his piano accompaniment ) and the children for their contribution. It was truly a day filled with joy, pride, and community spirit—one that will be remembered fondly by all.
