History was made yesterday when a group of students from the school attended the Féile Fichille Chess Tournament for the first time. The tournament was hosted by St. Oliver's NS, Clonmel where there was almost a hundred children playing chess together from 5 local schools - an indication of how popular the game is. The children got to play 6 games of chess each which gave them an opportunity to play against new opponents and develop their chess skills. It was a really great experience!
