There was great excitement in the school recently when our talented and successful AFLW footballer and past pupil Aisling McCarthy visited us. The children led a question and answer session with her and a video montage of her football achievements from her primary school years to her present club Fremantle Dockers was shown on the big screen. Aisling gave helpful advice to the students. She told them that they can achieve success if they have the right attitude and work hard. She also told the children to listen to their coaches to better their performances. Aisling gave a special mention to our County football champions and congratulated them on their win. She kindly donated her jersey to the school which we will display with pride. It was a memorable evening for us all in Bunscoil and Cathrach. We wish the best of luck to Aisling as she returns to Perth to prepare for the upcoming season. Up the Dockers!
